This issue of journal corresponds to the ground-breaking exhibition in which 58 artists working in traditional Chinese media participated, making it a truly international exhibition. Mr. Ng and his staff provided biographical information on the artists and transcriptions of seals and inscriptions. The essays attempt to illumine the historical, psychological and aesthetic contexts and issues in which this multitude of artists created their works in which we view them today.
