Visiting a Friend at Peach-blossom Stream 1805 (?)
桃花苑圖

Hanging scroll, ink & color on paper
93.0 x 43.8 cm. (36 5/8 x 17 1/4 in.)

Inscription:
“Beneath the mountains a spring river flows in
abundance,
the river wends and the mountains encircle, separating
Penglai;
The boat travels as though hearing the chickens and
dogs,
at times peach blossoms appear along the sides of the
gorge.
During middle of winter of the year 1805 (?), I painted
this for the pure pleasure of my cousin Zheng Shuxian.
Zhang Xiang, called Liuhu, at the age of sixty-five.”
