Inscription:
“In his long handscroll ‘Waterfall in Pine Valley’ Zhao Da’nian (Zhao Lingrang, ca.1070-1100) applied heavy blue and green coloring. Hengweng (Wen Zhengming, 1470-1555) made many copies, and in their wondrously subtle passages truly followed in the footsteps of the ancients. Jun, called Shigeng.”
