The exhibition held in the New York gallery between November 11 an December 2, 2002, celebrated the recent work of a major talent of our age. Harold Wong is a master practitioner of the classical art form of Chinese ink painting, which is rich in history and tradition. In addition to being an accomplished landscapist, Harold is also well known as a collector, connoisseur, art historian, and dealer of Chinese paintings, and personifies on all fronts the literati tradition in China. At the same time his paintings are distinctly in the forefront of contemporary approaches and practices in traditional Chinese ink painting.
